This week the General and Berg are on their own. That's right, The Cat's Away so the boys will talk baseball!! After a little post World Series and off season talk the guys then bring back the old segment, What's Happening in Portland. We cover everything that our minimal effort searches could come up with. Museums, comedy, movies and the like. Ultimately we end on recent movie trailers and our tentative optimism for next years movie season, and a reminder of what day this falls on.

The whole crew is in tow, with a semi guest. She claims she is going to abstain from participating, but the guys get her involved once or twice. The General starts the show off with a fairly reasonable rant on the current trend of charity fads, in addition to their in ability to look at a calendar to prevent over stacking of events. Big Cat wants to know how much technology is too much. Will the guys be purchasing the new Samsung Gear? Berg & Big Cat had another Man Date, this time to see Riddick. Finally, the guys end the show discussing which TV Show or Movie that they would want to see a cast reunion. Sit back, listen, and enjoy the show. Notebooked Free Since '03 The whole gang is here. We start with Big Cat proclaiming his win of the bet and whether or not it’s a good thing. The General recounts his Las Vegas adventure and Berg talks about a show he went to. Which then begs the question of what are we too old to do anymore? The guys then dive into the news that the NFL is considering allowing the first woman official in the league. After some questionable views the crew finishes off the show discussing the potential death of the summer blockbuster. Tune in and enjoy this week’s show... Sexual Bias They guys get together for their weekly chat. They start off recapping the experience going to the Fathom Events playing Star Trek: the Next Generation’s classic two parter “Best of Both Worlds”. This unique setting allowed plenty of fodder for comedy gold. After a slight delay, we realize that this is our what’s happening in May show. On May 26th is the 10k Rum Run in Tualatin, running with the booze involved. How can that be anything but a good idea? There are also two comedians coming to town this month, Amy Schumer and Bill Cosby. If you need some spiritual enlightenment, the Dalai Lama will be in town on the 9th. Berg and Mills have a concert list coming to town this month for you to check out: Mumford & Sons, Primus, Young Turks, Cake, and Ozomatli. There is one day in May that you shouldn’t miss; Mother’s Day is May 12th. If you need an idea for a gift for Mom, check out the Crafty Wonderland. Mills is in town to be able experience his first Rose Festival. Instead, he would rather participate in Cosplay at Wonder NW. Finally, after getting through the cultural events going on, the guys get into the meat & potato of the happens of May, the Movie Releases. The guys are stoked for the movie releases. Cautiously Optimistic They guys got together today and starting right off ripping one another, the subject of the particular rant was online dating. They got into the good the bad and the ugly. What they like, as well as dislike about their previous experiences. Of course with a topic this broad, there was no way for the guys to stay on topic without multiple tangents along the way. They revisit their preseason picks for the conference, and world titles. Finally, following in Patton Oswalt’s 8 minute improve Star Wars movie filibuster for Parks & Recreation, the guys spit ball on the fly the direct they would like the next Star Trek TV series to take. What is each of the guy’s favorite, as well as least favorite of all the feature films. Not to mention the tangent of what is their favorite version of the Enterprise. But since is it FUNNY, we focus on proper etiquette at gentlemen establishments. After we finish our multiple digressions, The General poses an Absurd Argument: Kelly Kapowski vs Topanga. It wasn’t so much absurd, as it was nostalgic. With the release of Jurassic Park in 3D, it leads to the discussion of Michael Crichton’s film resume. What is each of our favorite adaptation of one of Crichton’s books? Listen and Enjoy! Checking Her Tempature This week we have our monthly what’s happening in Portland show for April. We start off with a bang and get right into it with Star Trek the Next Generation: Best of Both Worlds coming to a theater near you. If Trek isn’t your thing, there is a comedy festival occurring April 18-21st, Bridgetown Comedy Fest. Speaking of smiling, if you attend and/or participate in, the Portland Soapbox Derby and don’t have a good time, there is something it the matter with you. Do you think the guys should participate in the event? Let us know. April also brings us opening day of baseball. The guys of course make World Series projections. Lance will be heading to Stumptown Comic Fest, which leads Berg to ask an interesting question, with unlimited resources, what would your cosplay costume be? Now that Megan Fox has been cast as the female lead in Michael Bay’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, read April O’Neil, the guys decide to cast the rest of the movie. As the discussion moves on, the Lone Ranger and white wash casting of Johnny Depp as Tonto is flushed out. Absurd Arguments is back this week, where we argue whether you'd rather go see a Ke$ha or Tim McGraw concert and why. After a little more comic book talk, we end the show talking about Star Trek: Into the Darkness and who Benedict Cumberbatch will be playing, or at least currently rumored to be playing.
